On the vehicle touchscreen, open Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information. For CCS1 DC charging, “CCS Adapter Support” must show Enabled. A model year alone does not confirm CCS compatibility.

The upper J1772 connection handles AC charging. The full CCS1 connection adds the two lower DC contacts for compatible fast-charging stations. Both connect through the same Tesla/NACS-side plug.
CCS1 · DC charging
For compatible fast chargers.
Adapter hardware rating: up to 500 V DC and 300 A. Actual charging power is set by the vehicle, battery state, temperature and charging station—not by the adapter alone.
J1772 · AC charging
For Level 1 and Level 2.
Adapter hardware rating: 110–250 V AC and up to 80 A. The vehicle’s onboard charger and the station determine the charge rate.

Keep one adapter in the car for two common North American charging connectors. The attached cover shields the lower DC contacts when you use the J1772 portion or store the adapter.
This is a third-party charging adapter. It does not turn an incompatible vehicle into a CCS-enabled vehicle.

This adapter is designed for listed-market Tesla vehicles that use the North American-style Tesla/NACS inlet. Charging standards differ by country, vehicle build and station.

Not for
CCS2, Type 2, CHAdeMO or a station already fitted with a Tesla/NACS connector. It is not an extension cable.
A simple charging sequence
Connect. Confirm. Charge.
Follow the charging station and vehicle instructions. Never force a connector that does not align or latch normally.

Confirm compatibility
For CCS1 DC use, verify CCS Adapter Support is Enabled. Inspect the adapter, vehicle inlet and charging connector for damage, moisture or debris.

Join the connector and adapter
Insert the CCS1 or J1772 charging connector fully into the matching side of the adapter. Make sure the connection is secure.

Connect to the vehicle
Support the assembly and insert the Tesla/NACS-side plug into the vehicle until it is fully seated. Start the session as directed by the station.

Stop before disconnecting
End the charging session first. Unlock the charge port, wait for charging to stop, then remove the assembly without twisting or pulling on the cable.
Do not use a damaged, overheated, loose or contaminated adapter. Do not disconnect while current is flowing. Keep children away from charging equipment.

PC insulating thermoplastic surrounds silver-plated copper-alloy contacts. The housing material is specified to UL94 V-0 flammability classification, with an IP54 enclosure rating for normal-use dust and splash protection.
Operating range
Specified for ambient temperatures from −30°C to 50°C (−22°F to 122°F).
IP54, explained
Protected against limited dust ingress and water splashes. IP54 does not mean waterproof: do not immerse, pressure-wash or use with standing water inside the contacts.

What does this 2-in-1 adapter connect?
It connects a CCS1 DC fast-charging plug or SAE J1772 AC charging plug to a compatible North American-style Tesla/NACS vehicle inlet. It does not convert CCS2, Type 2, CHAdeMO or Tesla/NACS station connectors.
Will it work with every Tesla?
No. The physical inlet, market and vehicle charging support must match. For CCS1 DC charging, check Controls > Software > Additional Vehicle Information and confirm “CCS Adapter Support: Enabled” before ordering.
How fast will my Tesla charge?
The adapter is rated up to 500 V / 300 A for DC and 110–250 V / 80 A for AC. These are adapter limits, not promised charge speeds. The vehicle, station, battery state and temperature determine actual power.
Do I need this at a Tesla Supercharger?
Not when the charger already has a Tesla/NACS connector that fits your vehicle. This adapter is intended for third-party CCS1 and J1772 charging connectors.
Is the adapter waterproof?
No. The listed IP54 rating covers limited dust ingress and splashing under test conditions; it is not a submersion rating. Keep the contacts clean and dry, replace the protective cover after use and store the adapter away from standing water.
What is included?
One CCS1 + J1772 2-in-1 charging adapter with an attached protective cover for the lower DC contacts. Charging cable, storage case and vehicle are not included.
